Need Help?
Find answers to common questions below!
Do I need to provide my bank details?
NO! As of right now, Canadian banks do not provide read-only access to your accounts. Until that time, we will work only with CSV and Excel files to read your expenses.
How do I upload my accounts?
We currently support both CSV and Excel file uploads. Our system will automatically parse your files, and even associate them with the correct account.
How often do I need to upload documents?
We suggest uploading weekly. Even if you miss a week, or even a few months, you can upload multiple reports at a time, and our system will organize them for you!
Can I add multiple accounts?
Yup - and that is why we built this platform. Having the ability to track multiple credit cards, banks, savings accounts, etc in one central location, for free, is what we do!
Nothing is free, why is BudgetMule free?
We get it, people are skeptical about free-things, letting them be the product.
We are here to disrupt the budgeting market by offering a free product.
How do you stay a float?
I am a one-man team, using my passion of coding, finances, and helping people out. This is my personal project that I build in my spare-time, between my full time job and my family.
I personally use the site and will continue to build on it with features both you and I want.
Do you have a roadmap for 2026?
Our roadmap currently includes:
  • Customizable categories
  • Retirement calculator
  • Track investments, including projections
  • Support US based banks
Are you training my data with AI?
Nope. We don't provide any of your data to AI or LLM.
I want to support your work
That is very kind of you! We will have an option to support us via e-transfer, but not at the current moment.
